Background & Experience
I originally hail from a small town in the Shawnee National Forest area of Southern Illinois, where I learned to love hiking and nature.
A full-ride scholarship took me to the University of Illinois, where I studied Biology and worked at the Illinois Natural History Survey. I did a summer abroad in Canada, helping with a bluegill study on Lake Opinicon in Ontario.
After graduation, I moved to Chicago and worked for the Field Museum of Natural History. I was blessed to do expeditions in Bhutan and East Africa and work with scientists who constantly traveled the world for their studies while pursuing a graduate degree. I rehabbed several houses during school and worked at the Westmoreland Country Club, where I met successful area businessmen. This experience led me to a job with a venture capitalist who invested in life science companies and eventually to work in real estate development for McCaffery Interests. Love brought me to Pittsburgh, where I was fortunate to work on high-profile projects.
I eventually became burned out by project management. I switched to NAI Burns Scalo, where I discovered a new dimension of real estate in brokerage. I use my knowledge, skills, and network to help lease our portfolio office properties and to serve third-party clients.
