Background & Experience
Prior to founding NAI Skyway National Partners in 2020, Berzins worked as a prominent Industrial Leasing Broker and Investment Sales Broker in the Mid-Atlantic for the past 20 years at NAI KLNB. An SIOR with a unique track record that includes expertise and core experience in both Industrial / Flex Leasing while also spearheading the growth of NAI KLNB’s Investment Sales Division, he completed transactions valued at more than $1 billion during his career. In addition to his brokerage responsibilities, he served on the KLNB Executive Committee and was instrumental in the firm becoming the largest and most profitable independently-owned brokerage company in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Berzins has been an advisor to clients in the acquisition of over one million square feet of space in Southwest Florida.
Along with focusing on the day-to-day growth of NAI Skyway National Partners, Berzins primary charge is building and creating two first in class divisions for the company: The Investment Sales Division serving all sectors along with the Industrial / Flex Leasing division that will focus on Landlord and Tenant Representation.
Highly regarded by his clients and peers, Berzins has represented Institutional, Mid-Market, and Regional owners, buyers, and tenants throughout his career, and that practice will continue with NAI Skyway National Partners. He will continue to service the real estate needs of clients in the Mid-Atlantic through the firm’s Maryland office.
Berzins, his wife, and three children live in Sarasota and enjoy an outdoor lifestyle of golf, fishing, and cheering on and coaching their children on the lacrosse field.
He is a 1996 graduate of Johns Hopkins University where he played on the men’s lacrosse team. He obtained his MBA from Johns Hopkins in 2006.
